INTERIOR/EXTERIOR UPHOLSTERY

CARPETS - In our carpet sets everything is included, no need to worry about trying to match original faded and soiled door panel or kick panels. These are in our kits, along with the sections on the bottom of the seats. Our floor sections come with jute padding already glued to the underside and each section is bound in yarn, windlace, or vinyl depending on what they did from the factory. 61-63 kits are loop carpeting, 64-69 kits are cut pile. Send us your original heelpad and we will clean it up and sew it into your carpet set at no extra charge.

TRUNK UPHOLSTERY - We are also proud of our duplication of the trunk upholstery. We use similar heavy gray felt (lighter for early cars and darker for later cars) that is precut, sewn, with edges finished in serging yarn where done so from the factory. All original gray fiberboard panels are faithfully reproduced, pre-cut and scored for easy installation. We also include the spare tire cover and the fiberboard panel and vinyl flap that hides the jack. This even has the little decal that declares "jack stowage". (66-67 Convertible: re-use your original PLASTIC back wall cover and deck pump cover)

CONVERTIBLE TOPS - I have but one "grade" of convertible top that I sell. It is simply the very best quality and most authentic that can be built. It's all in the details:

Pads - These run along each side of the top over the bows to cover the wires and give the top a smoother appearance. From the factory, the pads start narrow at the front and get wider towards the rear. Aftermarket pads are the same width front to back. I make my own tapered pads to duplicate the factory fit.

Corners - The lower rear corners of the top, just above each rear door hinge, are the highest stress areas of the top. 61-62 Lincolns use a snap here to allow the material to pull away while the top is lowering. The drawback to this system is that you must re-snap these corners every time you raise the top. In 1963 Lincoln put heavy elastics here and did away with the snaps. Other manufacturers use rigid inexpensive top material around this corner, which tears after only a few top cycles. We use the elastics in every top including 61-62 and include the snaps for an authentic appearance.

Rear Window - Our 61-65 rear window is heat sealed to the vinyl, versus other tops that are sewn together making the rear window appear wavy. Our window comes with the zipper, straps and snaps to allow you to roll it in place. 66-67 convertible tops need no window because the glass window is part of the top frame. However, at the bottom of this window there is a section of top material with a rubber backing that we provide with our tops. At the top of the 66-67 back window opening we make the proper pocket for the magnet that helps the material "stick" to the rear window frame.

Anti-ballooning Sleeves - Into these sleeves you slide the original steel inserts. With these inserts screwed to the top bow, the material is kept tight against the bows even at highway speeds.

Vinyl - with all this attention paid to detail you can expect that we would use nothing less than the best grade of vinyl as our foundation, with the proper pinpoint texture, as original of course.

We also make new interior leather seat sets and door panels for 61-67 sedans, coupes and convertibles. We duplicate the proper narrow piping, pleats, leather inserts and vinyl skirting. Each set is made to order (like all of our trim) in our very own upholstery shop. Because many colors are special order, it is best to call for details, timeframe, samples and pricing.
We also have many other goodies to spruce up your Lincoln interior:
