The turn signal switch mounts at the top of the steering column, under the steering wheel and yes, the turn signal lever is attached to it (or in some cases it is actually part of the switch). Check the drop-down menu for your year and model.
Note: Please double check if your Lincoln has a tilt wheel; the switches are different. From 1967 through 1979 the steering wheel tilts by delicately pushing the turn signal lever away from the steering wheel.
