These plates are particular to the 1961-65 Lincoln Convertible (built after 3/30/61). These motor mount adapter plates help change the center of gravity of the motor for better handling. They never wear out but often go missing when the engine is removed from the car. After selling all of the good used pieces we had, we went out and had these reproduced! There is one attached to each mount, you need two for the car. Sold individually.
