There are several different styles of original peak molding (stainless molding at the peak/top of the fender, door, or quarter) clips for the 1966-69 Lincoln. Unfortunately most of the original clips have become brittle, rusted, or unusable. This new replacement clip does require you to drill a small hole down through the top of the fender/door/quarter. However, once installed it is far more secure than the original design, and no one can tell the difference as the clip is hidden by the molding!
